Spansk gitarr nylonsträngad
Den klassiska spanska gitarren är ett bra exempel på ett föremål och en kultur av gitarrbyggande,
så nedtyngd av tradition att den, visuellt sett, gått i stå. Alla klassiska gitarrer
ser exakt likadana ut. Den mönstrade ringen runt ljudhålet med arabiskt mönster , liksom
huvudets lite krulliga avslutning som skall vittna om gitarrens österländska urspung men är
nästan alltid så fjuttigt och krafsigt gjort så man måste i så fall använda lupp för att kunna
se detta. Jag betraktar gitarren som ett föremål med en skulptural potential . De enda jag
vet som tidigare gjort något iden vägen är Le Courbusier, Picasso, Braque, Gris, kanske
också Leger, i sina kubistmålningar. Jag ser många olika sätt att utveckla min ide och just
dessa gitarrer kan man kalla för gitarr i infinitiv form,eller i grundutförande, utan extra
lulllull.
Halsens form består i huvudsak av tre delar : häl, hals och huvud. Nästan uteslutande är
dessa delar utformade sammansmälta till en helhets form, min utgångspunkt är den motsatta,
att utforma delarna var och en för sig.
Samarbetet mellan mig och Michael Sanden som byggt gitarrerna har gått till så att jag gör
min grej, arbetar på utseendet, själva formen, helheten och alla dess smådelar.
Michael jobbar på instrumentet avseende, material och konstruktionskvalitet, ljudbild och
ergonomi / spelbarhet .
Utgångspunkten är att det finns ingen motsättning mellan det han vill åstadkomma och det
jag far efter.

Farnsworth House som sovrumslampa 2008
Objekt i trä och glas
Modellen är en liten kopia Mies van de Rohes berömda hus utanför Chicago.
Husets beställare, läkaren Farnsworth, fann när huset stod färdigt att det inte gick att bo i
på grund av de glasade fasaderna. Hon kände sig utsatt och oskyddad.
Mies drömhus framstod som en utopi, åtminstone som bostad.
Min idé att göra denna legendariska byggnad till en sovrumslampa har flera sammanfallande
orsaker.
Dels har jag alltid tyckt att taket, hemmets enda område som i och för sig alltid är städat
men öde, skulle kunna exploateras på något sätt. Dessutom har ovanifrån-perspektivet,
när man så att säga ser sitt liv på distans, något kontemplativt över sig.
I föreställningen om ett gott liv ingår också bostaden. Även om de flesta husprojekt förblir
drömmerier, omöjliga att realisera, kan en modell som denna stimulera kontemplationen.

Galleri Cupido utställning Stockholm 2009
Utställningens namn Pinnochio ( med svensk”pinnstols”stavning ) syftar på uställningens
slag nummer pinnstolen Pinocchio.
Min utgångspunkt för utställningen var att arbeta med ett barn tema som ganska tidigt
byggts ut med föräldraperspektivet, nämligen detta om ordning och tid för annat än enbart
städning och matlagning. Detta resulterade i några praktiska vardagsgrejer, en pekbok för
stadsbarn, en problematisering av diskandets konst och lite ideer på temat Mat.
Dessutom visades installationen The rhythm of the magic drum, ett försök till visualisering
av Mats Theselius personliga variant på ”alltings ursprung”, dvs förhållandet mellan musikens
kraft och mitt arbete; ”musiken som blev till möbler” och ett par nya gitarrer.
Utställningens atmosfär är en blandning av sagor, vardagsstrul, ekologi och musik.
Med på denna ( i första hand ) idé-utställning fanns fotografi till pekboken, Tatlins kläder,
en näverjacka, ett par tofflor,förvaringsmöbler för barn, lamporna Piccolo och Keramik, en
spis, en diskställsuppställning, en springcykel, mat skulptur, ett par högtalare ett par gitarrer
och ett Sop&skyffelset.
Blandningen av teman kom av sig självt eftersom galleriets fyra rum ligger på rad, som en
promenad genom, innehållsmässigt, helt skilda rum.

SHOTS ON BRAVE NEW WORLD
Designfilmpool ( DFP )
Skapad av Mats Theselius 2003 för att undersöka film i gränslandet mellan design och
konst. Idén med designfilmpool var också att uppmärksamma det faktum att det idag görs
en ny sorts film som görs av människor som oftast inte är filmare men som ändå använder
film som ett naturligt verktyg. Denna nya filmform ryms inte inom någon gängse
filmkategori.Iden var även att skapa en samarbetslänk mellan filmande designers, arkitekter
och konstnärer samt att skapa en plats på nätet för detta fenomen. Eftersom youtube
och googlevideo idag finns och fungerar som en typ av visningsplats så har den idén
skrotats.Tanken med DFP var också att arbeta för att möjliggöra samarbeten.

Bovalls dörrbyggeri Bovallstrand 2007
Massiva ek ute och innedörrar och en serie dörrhandtag i olika varianter.
Utgångspunkten var att göra dörrar med en massiv känsla. Handtagen är ett system med
stora variationsmöjligheter.

Birdland, fåtölj produceras av Källemo 2009
Skiktlimmad trästomme, stål, corian samt läder.
Modellen ritade jag direkt efter det att jag ritat modellen Star. Båda har en väldigt tydlig
Koppling till detta med trummor. När Star var färdig tyckte jag den såg bra ut men lite snäll
och inte så mycket drag i som jag önskat mig. Birdland har kraftfulla infästningar av benen,
är mera sammansatt till sin karaktär och mer expressiv form, mer utvinklad framtill,
utsträckt på längden och mer krävande.
Namnskylten på stolens rygg är en hälsning till Yamaha GA, den snyggare och enklare
föregångaren till den framgångsrika 9000 Recording, världens mest inspelade trumset.

Raval, betongplattor/ golv för Marrakech design 2009.
Jag kontaktade det nystartade företaget och frågade om de bara köpte färdiga grejer från
marknaderna i Marocko eller om de tänkt sig någon formgivning i sammanhanget eftersom
jag länge tänkt att det vore kul att samarbeta med hantverkare istället för maskinkulturen i
Gnosjö.
Sagt och gjort, först ut är en serie betongplattor med svenska färgskalor. Det klassisistiska
mönstret med namnet Raval ( namnet på en stadsdel i Barcelona ) är mötet mellan den
arabiska och europeiska bildtraditionen.

Ett modulsystem med avtagbara socklar så att man kan stapla modulerna på höjden och
vändbara lådor för att förlänga livslängden på dem i takt med att barnen växer.

Atlantis 2008 , som X-ray men utförd i stål, glas och plast.
Den trapets korrugerade skivan med sina bakre balkar har skapats genom att det vacuumsugna
plastskiktet ”sjunkit ned” i tomrummen mellan konstruktionsramen och därigenom
bildar plats för utdragbara lådor.

Atlantic hellride fåtölj 2005 producerad av Källemo.
Stål, trä, läder.
Fåtöljen består av en stomme och en sittkorg som inte har något med varandra att göra.
Stommen är till sitt ursprung en sk bauhaus rörstomme men av klumpiga fyrkantsrör och
profiler som är grovt tillyxade och sammansatta.
Sittkorgen som består av en tunn laserskuren järnplåt med brytanvisningar är ihopvikt
förhand och med en tjocklek av totalt 5mm inkl stoppning. Armstöd utformade som gevärskolvar.
Denna svårsmälta och aggressiva pjäs med underrubriken Hellride kom till under flygtur
genom helvetet.
Det vi ser är allt som blev kvar efter att den landat.
